I'm really loving the Zplus. I'm using mine mostly in the full power setting and can get so many great tones out of it. I never thought there would be an amp that could possibly put my beloved JAZ on the back burner, but this little guy has. I'm a Les Paul guy, I plug straight in. I can get some absolutely astonishing dirty blues tones out if it, and just about anything else from classic rock and more. I have the studio combo and have a WGS G12C. Love the combination.
The only pedal it needs comes in the box.
Such a great amp. I've been a Z fan for quite some time for no other reason than the amps sound great and are simple. Out of the dozen or so I've bought, loved, and enjoyed, two stick out as extremely impressive. This is one of them. The half power mode is very useful.
If anyone is on the fence about this one... just do it. It's great.

My Man Cave should be useable this weekend after 3 months of just sitting in limbo. Looking forward to using mine more.

It's a special amp. I'm recording some solo work, and I've recorded all the guitar parts on the Z Plus.
Really digging it with an Alnico Cream right now...
Do it!

There's always more speakers to try. For whatever reason Celestion speakers have fallen out of favor for me in open backs. Not sure if my ears are changing or what. I just haven't had much luck with any of them. Alnico included. We all hear things differently, but personally I've been liking American voiced speakers lately.
In any event, the Zplus has such a wide range of tone it's easy to just sit there and go into totally different styles with just the switchable boost. Truley a grab and go.
If I miss anything it's just not what I would call a super high headroom amp, with my cave man hands and a Les Paul sometimes i want more cleans. But that feeling subsides when i get lost in the dirty tones. I hate to use the "D" word. But it has that thick, gainy yet clear attributes that really sound great. I love it. The Surgical Steel inbound should cover my cleans, or blow my head clean off. One or the other.
