Went to True Tone Santa Monica for a Reverb pedal and had a brief affair with several Z amps and thinking of pulling the trigger on a KT 45. Played the following at the shop: Z28 Z Wreck Ghia Dote Remedy Stang Ray RT 66. Cure. KT spoke to me like no other......a side note my wife loved the sound. She also loved the Ghia. Talk me out of it!!! As a side note the staff was excellent and very professional.

Wow, great selection of Zs at True Tone. Glad you got go through several of the best. My only advice is don't let go of the Maz, you'll only wind up getting another one to replace it somewhere down the road. So grab the KT45, on the wife's suggestion of course.

Well, you could use the maz for home and small gigs...then the KT45 for loud gigs.....real loud gigs.

I foolishly sold my KT45. That amp is truly something special. It's a great clean platform for pedals. Its clean isn't a "sterile" clean though. It has a beautiful complexity to it that is like no other. I ran it with an Airbrake. Man, I miss that amp!

This isn’t AA, it’s the bar! Lollllll

They also carry just about every pedal known to man kind as well as several other high end brands (Carr Victoria Matchless Top Hat Ect.). Very cool shop with awesome people, worth the drive.

I know the feeling. Just penned an email to Chicago Music Exchange to float the idea of a MAZ 18 trade-in with a couple of extra cabinets in pursuit of a Z-Plus. We'll see where this leads.

Still can’t get the KT sound out of my head.... On a side note, my wife picked up a M12 combo in surf green So she can play electric when we play out. Her acoustics are getting so thrashed I finally convinced her to try a Tele with a little delay and that sealed the deal.

Now with maybe some new carpet or a new outfit or two you can squeeze that KT-45 into the music room without too much fanfare...She'll understand.
