Still loving my Cure, play it every day. One thing I've noticed, which has been there since I've had it, is that after disengaging the standby switch, there's a single hollow sounding "pop"/"ping". I turn the amp on, leave it on standby for 30s to 1 minute, then switch off the standby. About 20-30 seconds later, whether I've played anything or not, this pop occurs. I haven't switched out any tubes or anything. I purchased this new from Chicago Music Exchange. Hopefully, it's not a big deal and I don't need to send it anywhere - no local Dr Z techs near me. I threw out the Dr Z shipping box after it arrived. Not sure if this is standard - but there was sticky spray foam stuck to the inside of the shipping box and the plastic bag around the amp. Kind of a pain to get the amp out, had to cut the plastic away from the foam it was stuck to.
Again, the amp SOUNDS fabulous - I've had plenty of tube amps and just never had this kind of pop thing. It it's not a big deal, I'd be totally fine just knowing that.
Thanks for any input / help / advice!

If you're still having trouble Monday I would give Z amps repair department a call (216) 475-1962. Don is very knowledgeable and should be able to help you diagnose the problem. They'll get you straightened out. Doc has customer service that is the best in the business. It's under warranty. Meantime, go online to his website and register your amp. If you're technically inclined, there are some good troubleshooting tips there too. Good luck, it's going to be fine.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the help and the contact info. Plugged the timmy into the cure this morning with my telecaster and was late to work. Can't get over how great it sounds.
