I just pulled the Red Fang out of my 1x10 z28. Didn’t pay attention to the wiring. A lot of you guys have done speaker swaps on your Z:s. Can I assume the white wire goes to the “+” on my Greenback? Black’s negative, huh? Looking for a volume drop. Thanks!

With a single speaker polarity won't matter. When you add two in series or parallel IT does matter. Since you're in a combo you can put them on either terminal. White to red, black to black.

I’d like to get it right for whenever I want to go with an extension speaker (assuming that’s been wired properly). There’s no color code on the Red Fang, but I guess white=red=plus then. Thanks! Sounds good!

Generally, for guitar-amp speakers:
White or Red = Tip = Positive (+) Black = Ring = Negative (-)
For some cabs/wiring that have the uncolored copper & silver wire, typically:
Copper = Tip = Positive (+) Silver = Ring = Negative (-)
Beyond that, there are some additional odd manufacturers' conventions that defy the above (notably the old JBL speakers, whose terminals are red for negative/black for positive) but I think this covers about 95% of what you'll see out there.

Oh, and also... great choice on the 1x10 Geenback for your Z-28. That's already a great amp, but that's arguably the BEST 10" British-style speaker out there--especially with the Z-28. I think you'll love it.

Look forward to bring it to rehearsal...
