..a green and a purple - and these 3 already HAVE a room! Seriously - I'm just happy as heck to see some activity at all in this sub. I love my DB4 - has easily become my favorite amp. Sounds splendid with either of these 2 beauties as well.

Nice! I have an EJ Strat in exactly that color. Is your an EJ? No actually. Mine are both partscasters up there. Good parts. And to head off any potential frumpiness - those are NOT Fender logos. They do not say Fender.

Hey Greg, what's the quickest you've burned through a quad of EL84's??? I just smoked a quad of 6n14n's from Perry in 6 months. 5000 hours, my @.s.s.!!! I win again!!! Oh yeah, I better email Perry for more.

BTW, tell us about the Brown Rabbit. The Brown Rabbit (by Freakshow Effects) - that is a modded Rat circuit, if my intel is correct. I got it a long time ago. It is an excellent sounding pedal - and I actually have now gone back to having it on my board (I only allow 1 dirt pedal there - no more than 4 pedals total!) A link to it's full "bio": www.analoguehaven.com/freakshoweffects/brownrabbit/manual.pdf

Didn't see the DB4 for a minute or two. Thanks for the compliments on the guitars! I am very proud of them (I assembled them both - my first attempts - now saving $$ to make another Tele out of a throwaway paulowina body my daughter hand painted). After these 2 builds I'm fairly certain I'll never use anything but MJT bodies and Musikraft necks for a build again. Just awesome stuff and BOTH with great customer service and communications (an excellent way to earn my loyalty!).

Couldn’t help but notice a Strymon Flint in the lower corner 👍🏼 I find that it fully completes the amp.

In it's heyday it was enormous and housed around 15 pedals. Ludicrous! Amazing what a great amp and learning to use the volume and tone knobs on your guitar can do for you. Now, I limit myself to 4 pedals period. Not always the same 4 - but definitely always with the Flint and a Deco. That saturation side is what helps keep it on my board constantly. It really is a terrific tone. I will always have 1 delay on there as well. Sometimes an el Cap, sometimes an Aqua Puss, sometimes.... well, still looking for more & more interesting delay pedals (I have come to accept this will be an ongoing search/collection endeavor and truly, my lot in life - if you think I don't have my eye on the T Rex Echorec in development, you'd be sorely mistaken! ).

Yea, I’m a big fan of Delay pedals! The Strymon Flint satisfies my Reverb needs. Currently running the Nemesis Delay pedal (amazing amount of options). I’d love to take the el Capistan for a test drive one of these days. But like yourself, I envision myself working down from 9 pedals one day to eventually 4 or 5.
Do you have any pictures of the board?

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is on tubes despite being run hard. I'm usually changing out EL84's every 3 months or so. I'm sure the regular JJ's don't last as long as Perry's.
