Made a trade deal with another Z-bro exchange for this Monza. I'm used to more American sounding 6V6 amps, and I've never held onto any British style amps for very long, but for the past year, I've been wanting one. I had my eye on a Monza, but I knew I had to either sell or trade a piece of gear, in order to keep the wife happy. She'd never say anything, but I would feel bad knowing I bought a new amp and she got NOTHING for Christmas (just kidding). Anyway, I put my tele up for sale/trade, and Rik (Oldguy) offered me this Monza 1x10 combo. It is a lot different than I am used to, but I think I will enjoy it. I gave it a quick run through, and I am looking forward to putting it through its paces. This will be my third Dr. Z amp. The first one was a Maz 18NR that I couldn't bond with. I returned it in three days. About a year and a half later, there was a fellow on this forum that sold me his Maz 18 reverb. Loved it, but I wanted something more Marshall sounding, and I had my eye on something else, so after about two months, I sold that. Immediately regretted it. About a year ago, we bought a house, so my gear purchases have been slim. I think this trade worked out well for both of us. It loves a Strat, as well as a Les Paul. It cleans up really well too. I was somewhat concerned that I would not get a great clean tone, but with single coils, this does it for me. Just need a reverb Pedal and I'm good to go!

GuitarZ: Best Pandemic Comment - Delivery guy shows up. As we're social distancing, I look at myself in brown loafers, black socks, gym shorts, t-shirt and say "I realize this is not my best look". His response "You can wear whatever you want to the apocalypse."

GuitarZ: Needed some noise to fill a break in a tune I'm recording. It was too quiet. Just happened to have some High Quality Dr Z Ghia noise to fill the void. "Heal Your Sound with Dr Z! It's not just a guitar tone prescription!"

GuitarZ: Must be great to be a skunk. Eating bird food about 10' from our sun room. I'm clapping and yelling. At best, it might have given me one "yea what?" look while continuing to dine. At one point, there were two skunks and two racoons.

easyed: Guitar Z, I encountered to ultimate garbage raiding combo once. We'd been having problems with the garbage cans being raided by raccoons for weeks. Late in the evening I heard rattling at the cans. I went out and found that he'd allied with a skunk. "OK"

GuitarZ: EasyEd - Someone at work topped us both. The inside of their car had been somewhat ransacked. They were blaming their son. They checked the video. It was a Bear! I'll stick with the racoons, skunks, foxes, and squirrels.

bigboki: In this age and time when everybody are struggling and especially S&Ms I am amazed to see that kind of ignorance. I am really sorry for your experience dear Dr Z but it is for the better. You don't want to do business with those kind of people anyway.
