I can’t get that z wreck sound out of my head. Anyone know a good setting for the Maz to cop that tone? I’ve got a gold in the Maz. Have an et-65 and a g12h30 I can use as well.

I asked this question a couple years ago and the simple answer is "no". The Wreck is just one of those magical amps that just has its own thing going. I can't get that sound out of my head either...it'll likely stay there too as I can't see myself ever affording such a lovely piece.

The best start would be to use two 8 ohm alnico speakers in series at 16 ohms. I can't emphasize this enough.
After that...try your best to overcome the Fender tone stack in the MAZ. That would probably look like....Bass near off, Middle past 2 o'clock and Treble between 9-12 o'clock. Try putting the MV somewhere around 12-2 o'clock, then adjust Volume for gain. Of course, the Cut knob needs to be past at least 10 o'clock to even begin sounding Voxy.
The gain structure just isn't going to sound like a Z-Wreck/AC30. They're just two different animals, but depending on how YOU set a Z-Wreck/AC30, then you may get close. Clean and edge of breakup can be a little more convincing than full on distortion. At that point, the two amps wouldn't resemble themselves much at all.
Short of these settings.....I'd say your best bet is to either get a Z-Wreck or some kind of AC30 (w/ Top Boost channel).

Thanks for the tip. Definitely got closer to that sound with those settings. I turned on the eq bypass and man did it rip after that. I think the GAS is abated for now, lol
