The EMS is honestly the first amp I've encountered since I've owned the Kemper that is very likely to get me back into "tubes and cones".
I loved my former Remedy; the sound and build quality were absolutely superb, but I always longed for the EL34 kerrang.
The ability to at least be in the same subdivision as a JTM/JMP/JCM Marshall in one box just has too much appeal to ignore.
I play a pair of LPs. My philosophy is that if it's a 10% "gain" (dynamics/bloom) over a Kemper unit, it will be well worth it. It will be in a home studio setting, but I've read that the Master Volume is excellent; as it was on my Remedy.
It should be noted that even though I have hundreds of profiles loaded, I gravitate to a handful in the vein of this amp's capabilities 90% of the time. Those three eras of Marshall cover every base I need to reach. Add the Drake-like transformers, it's too much.
Actually, I think re-building the pedalboard is my biggest mental obstacle!
I will be doing my demo later next week. I hope it goes as-expected...

Let us know how the demo goes.
Really looks like a great amp.

The trial was today.
I did get some nice sounds, but I really never felt I heard what I was looking for.
The amp always sounded like it was resisting being pushed into that prolific Marshall OD state we all know, despite extensive gain and toggle experimenting. I played three different humbuckered guitars with the same result.
Well, I will be buying Z's amp pack #2 very soon!

Sorry that it didn't work out for you. I didn't have the option of trying one out before buying mine. In all honesty it was pretty stiff/boxy sounding yesterday at first and I was expecting that. With 12 hours of looping my iPod through it and about 5 hours of hard play time it's already opening up a lot and breathing more if that makes sense. Hopefully you'll get the chance again to test one out with broken in speakers.
