Hello everyone and thank you for this very useful forum! I'm a proud possessor since March of a Maz 18 Jr. (year 2011 - reverb). I really fell in love with its sound and the way it's able to take almost evey pedal you put in front of it.
I just have a question about a quick glow, coming from the power tubes, that I noticed when I switch it on. It only does that when the amp has remained plugged into the wall socket for more than 1 hour before being switched on. Is it normal or should I be worried?
Thank you and sorry for my bad english..
Lorenzo

What brand of power tubes do you have? I know the Mullard pre-amp tubes flash briefly when powering up. Maybe the power tubes do as well?

Thank you guys, the power tubes are "tube amp doctor" (see attached image). Are they the original ones? Beacuse even if it's a 2011 model I bought the amp as new this year from a music store, and it is still covered by warranty. Today the "glow" happened even if the amp has been unplugged before switching it on. It seems to be coming mainly from the second tube (starting from left). For a second the tube lights on like a light bulb, then it starts assuming the usual orange colour. I also noticed that the amp becomes a bit "harsh" when power tubes get saturated, especially when playing low notes (5th and 6th strings). But maybe this is totally normal. The TAD tubes are not original , and the one flashing is going bad. Replace both power tubes with a matched set.
