Hi all,
I just blew a fuse on my EZG 50 amp and would like to know what to replace it with.
Indeed, the amp was made for export (220/240V) and the amp shows that it requires a 3 AMP fuse under the fuse socket. However, when removing the old / blown fuse, the rating engraved on the fuse showed that it was a 1A fuse...
I've had the amp for 7 years and it's the first time that I blow a fuse...quite surprising...as it didn't comply with the required rating written on the amp...
I assume that I should purchase a slo-blow fuse rated at 3 A in order to correctly replace it... I have read many comments on how it is dangerous to use a fuse that is rated higher than the appropriate value stated on the amp...(US EZG 50's need a 2A slo-blow fuse...).
My amp was purchased in Bankgok, Thailand, (230V) and I've been using it without a problem for 7 years...in Thailand and now in Cyprus....(240V).
Can anyone advise me on which fuse to use...? Do I keep the same type of fuse (1A) that was previously in the amp...or do I replace it with a 3 AMP fuse ...as stated on the back of chassis near the socket....?
Maybe the Doc can chime in ? I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks, in advance, for your kind replies.\
Peace,
Alexis.

Alex the 3 amp Slo-Blo is for the domestic 120V EZG's. Export 240V EZG would use half the domestic rated fuse, install a 1.5 amp Slo-Blo.
