So I have had my 25th anny carmen out playing for a few weeks, played it last night, it was fine. Plugged in my guitar tonight, light is on, but nothing. Dead as a door nail I don't feel much heat from tubes, should I just order up some tubes and try new tubes?? Anything else I should try? Fuse? Thanks

Probably dumb question, but what kind and where do I get the fuse? Thanks for your help.

I actually picked up my fuses from the hardware store. It should say on the back of the amp what size fuse it is. You need to make sure you get a slo-blow fuse. Just take it to the store with you and they should be able to take care of you. Buy 5 or 6 to keep around for future use.
There is a reason the fuse blew if that is what happened - you'll also need to figure if there is a larger underlying problem by using Doc's trouble shooting list.

If the light is on, would it still be a fuse?

I'd check the tubes.

Make sure there no issues with your guitar, cable or pedal board / pedals. I'm not the amp tech guru on this forum but I can say that nine times out of ten any Z issue is tube related.

Not an amp expert but generally if a main fuse is blown there is no power at all.

Thank you for the responses. I probably will pick up some fuses but I contacted Dr Z repair and hey said it isn't he fuse as the light is on. They said start with rectifier. I ordered a new set of tubes

Bummer. Hope it turns out to be something simple.

Since the light is on and the tubes light up but don't put out much heat, I'm betting it's the rectifier. When you do get the tubes, please do follow Doc's suggested troubleshooting page.

It sounds like the rectifier to me.

For anyone who has this issue come up, I emailed support, they said change the rectifier, I did and that was the issue. I ended up replacing all the tubes with a matched just set and all I have to say is wow, great amp is even better!!!

That's why some folks get NOS Rectifiers ....because they last a long time.

It sounds like the rectifier to me. You were right. New rectifier fixed it. Then I changed all the tubes with new JJs and it sounds incredible now.
