I'm curious how the Z Wreck would sound with a Dr. Z Z12 speaker. Has anyone tried it? If so, what were your thoughts on it?

Might do that. I have a Zwreck and just traded for a Cure with the Z12. I HAVE to try the Cure with a Celestion blue as its my favorite speaker and I have a pair of well broken in ones. Maybe I'll put the z12 in the Zwreck and see whats up. Stay tuned...

I have a head coming. ..thanks to a great deal from Mike..
I have two Z 1/12 cabs one with the Z12 speaker and one with a Creamback m65.
I am wondering which one would sound better?

Y cable and together. You won't regret it. Have you tried them both? I LOVE the Z12 in my ZLux and loved the Creamback with my Remedy. The Creamback sounded OK with the ZLux, but the Z12 was hands down better. Of course, last year, I unloaded all my speakers, about 8 of them, including my Gold and am now left with 2 creambacks and a Z12. The head arrives on Wednesday and I will try them both out at the Studio and see which I like best. I like the idea of the Creamback being 97db instead of 100, but the Z12 is 99db. I think I will end up with the Gold, knowing myself.....and a brake lite.

Actually haven't tried them both together. I do have a Creamback and like it with the Wreck. Don't have a Z-12. Just like mixing a scooped American voiced speaker with a mid focused British speaker. Always sounds good to me. I have tried a Creamback paired with a Texas Heat and liked it better than the Creamback alone. I should add, I'm not a big fan of the Gold.

Depends on how you play. The Z12 excels at clean tones and light dirt. Once you start to push it with some gain, it starts to fall apart.
