I changed out the grill cloth on my Z-Lux and Z-Best yesterday. It took a painstaking 2 hours just to remove the grill cloth from the Z-Best baffle. SO MANY STAPLES. I was trying to source some Z-Wreck grill cloth to just re-cover the Z-Best grill but since I couldn't do that and I didn't feel like spending $125 plus shipping on top of waiting to have the Z repair shop re-cover it, so I decided to go with a Fenderish wheat with brown stripe cloth. I also installed pop out casters on the cab. While I had the head apart I took some pics of the circuit board. It's BEAUTIFUL in there. Now I just need to get another cream Z logo badge for it.

Very nice. And oh the beauty of hand-wired amps!

Beautiful gut shot there! That's what I like to see. One thing I hate on modern amps is when all the pots are attached to one PCB, even if the tube bases are hand wired to the the main board. That Lux looks the biz!

Wow, that looks amazing! Nice job. I've done that on a few amps, and to get it right takes effort for sure. Yours looks fabulous.

Nice job! Back in the day I did a few Marshall 4/12 cabs so I know what a pain it is to get out all those staples and make sure the new one is on tight enough. Simple tools flat head screw driver, pliers, and staple gun! Looks really good and professional. Its really not that hard to do but it does take a lot of time and patience. Very cool.

That Lux looks the biz! As far as I'm concerned the amp cabs could be made with Plexiglas. I'd love seeing the insides all of the time. I know shielding would be an issue but it might be cool.

Good job! Wheat looks awesome.
I agree with zpilot. I'd love to have the guts visible. That is a work of engineering art!

Good job! The last time I did a speaker grill I went out and bought an air powered stapler. Hook that up to shop air and away ya go, they're great. I just wasn't up to squeezing the manual stapler 12,000 times again!
