Ok I know this may seem like a daft question but I can't find anything specific enough on it and I don't want to mess it up. How do you install the mounting screws? Do you literally just line up the brake lite and screw the screws in with a screw driver? Or do you need to drill?
Thanks
Jonny

You can use a screw drive if that's all you have. I'd suggest taking the screws and give them a twirl on a bar of soap first to make them easier to screw into wood. Harv! Any other suggestions for Jonny?

make sure tab seats tight...opposite side of screws...could flop in transport...

I prefer to use industrial strength double-sided tape. I used this to mount a BL in the bottom of a Z Wreck combo. I'm sure it would work fine in another location. No screw holes and pretty easy, I think, to remove by using a hair dryer or other heat source to soften the adhesive.

Another thing is placement. I like mine on the bottom. That way it does not interfere with the side resonance. I know that's negligible, but makes me feel better. Also easier to see and adjust on the fly. I also place it on the opposite side of the transformers to even out the weight a little. Not much either, but every bit counts.
Brake-Lite is a VERY useful tool~

Cool thanks for the pointers guys. May just double sided tape it, seems like a safer bet. Although my new band seems to have ground to a halt which gives me less cause to buy one. But Christmas is coming and I haven't bought myself a present yet!

But Christmas is coming and I haven't bought myself a present yet! I use the tape mentioned by Doctorice. It works great. Just be sure to use that tape, the other kinds of double sided tape aren't the same and will leave a residue when/if you remove it. I mount mine on the side. No issues with out screw and that exact tape linked.
