I was the same - played humbuckers for a while before trying out my single coil guitars. But man oh man is it sweet with a tele! And playing a P90 through it might be my favorite.

I use mainly single coils and they do sound great with the Therapy, nice and thick!

Loving the sound of my strats!
I also have to add ... my 335 also sounds nice, but works best with just amp or a volume boost (at least with the pedals On my Pedalboard). The strats, however, seem to work with everything I've used! I plan to use my 335 and a strat this weekend on a couple gigs ... I'll update after that!!

I have always felt the majority of Doc's amps greatly tend to favor single coil guitars.....
[Except the MONZA! (Sorry, I can't seem to write "that word" in lower case....The amp just always screams)]
And, there's no questioning that Poodle can make his Carmen Ghia stand up and get righteous with his trusty LP...
But still, single coils really shine w/ most Z's....

I did the opposite - tried the Strat first and went months before plugging in the Les Paul. And then I said almost exactly the same thing: "What was I waiting for?"

I'm a single coil guy. Strats sound amazing through the therapy.

Therapy + P-90s = JOY. It really does sound better with single coils...count me in with the "What was I waiting for" camp.

I don't doubt those who swear by the Therapy using single coils, but I'm playing a Les Paul with '57 Classics and getting a great sound. At a recent gig, one of the sound guys came by on break and asked me about the Therapy, he praised the sound I was getting. Of course, he was a guitar player and when I asked about his amps, he listed about a half dozen high end Fenders - mostly blackface stuff. So there you go, buckers can work really well with the Therapy.

I was able to get a bit louder than I can at home and the interaction between the amp + 335 was amazing! I also discover that some of the pedals that didn't sound all that great at lower volumes worked just fine on a gig... nice! As always, YMMV

All humbuckers all the time for me. The Therapy loves them!
Les Paul, SG, and PRS McCarty 58 all sound great with the Therapy.
