I'd like to mount a couple Z boost footswitches to my pedalboard to keep everything together. Ideally, it would be nice if the footswtiches had a female 1/4" jack on them (rather than the fixed cord) so I could run it to a jack mounted on the side of the pedalboard.
Anyone see an issue with replacing the factory cord with a 1/4" jack?
Thanks in advance for your "input" (pun intended)

When I get my Z Lux I'll probably dust it down and use it.......so it can't see there being an issue with doing the mod.

Although, to qualify my own answer, the footswitch I have is not variable...............so I'll use the one supplied by the Doc, but you see my point

I popped mine open last night to see if a 1/4" jack fits in the hole. It does, but it is so close to the floor of the pedal that there may be shorting issues. If it doesn't work out, I'll drill out the top of the pedal and put the pot up top and the jack on the side. I may do that anyway.

I contacted Loopmaster yesterday, and they are making a footswitch for me. It will have a small footprint, a 1/4" female jack, and a red LED to indicate status. I'll post pics and review when it arrives.

Sorry guys . . . I missed this thread before i posted.
Do y'all have a wiring diagram? I need to build usable foot switches too.

I just did mine. Total success. The white wire goes to the sleeve, the red to the tip. Just cut out the wire stop and thread in the 1/4" jack. I put heat shrink tubing over the jack lugs and solder joint to keep them from grounding out on the casing. It works perfectly. Total cost > $2. Feel free to ask any questions.

The POT is a 500K Audio Taper. Half way on the rotation is about 50K.
