Welcome to the Forum! The Z-Lux is a great start to your future collection of Z amps! There is a lot of good information and people here so take advantage of all the knowledge! I'm assuming you ordered the head version since you are getting the ZBest cab to go with it. If you did get the combo, PCNS (Todd) makes a great Y-cable that you can use to run both cabs at once.

wish I'd thought to get the brake-lite when i ordered. Though I don't know if I'll need to attenuate yet. I have an airbrake but the lite inside already would be good I think.

I honestly don't see the need for a airbrake or a brake lite with the Z-lux. I can get killer bedroom level tone with the master volume and the volume set up correctly. And thats even in the 40 watt setting. No need to Attenuate.

That's great to hear, my band likes to play quieter than I'm used to and I want to make sure I can get some hair on the notes at lower volumes without additional pedals (besides the bypass).

It won't be a problem at all. The master volume and the volume work together and you can dial in whatever you want. I play with the bypass engaged 99.9 per cent of the time and sometimes I also hit it with the J Rockett archer icon. But most the time I plug straight in no effects and just with the boost I can get that edge of break up tone at any level.

Looks like you're rockin' a Tele with the Z-Lux head...that combo should be huge. The Z-Lux is so fat and warm that I bet it'll compliment the Tele well.

Tele sounds incredible with it - but, so does my humbucker PRS, my strat style hot rod, my license plate roots guitar is awesome through it
