Ghia is fun to tinker with but I'm finding I keep circling back to stock.
I bought a NOS GE 5751 from KCA to try in V2 of my 1x10 Ghia. I do not like it as much as the Tung Sol 12ax7 that came with the amp. The 5751 did smooth it out, lowered the output by a third and raised the headroom some. Sounded good but it looses gritty bite. Nice option to have on hand though, to tame the little beast if needed.
I also tried a set of NOS 6N14N power tubes but they warmed up the amp more than the JJs. I like both but after a while decided I prefer the rawness of the JJs.
Mine has a NOS 10" AlNico Legend speaker that Z had in stock. After ordering a Y speaker cable, I ran the amp through my 1x12 Z cab. Tried both a V30 and G12H30. damn if I do not prefer the direct little Legend in the combo over the 12" cab options. Its got this raw, bluesy thing going the other speakers can't match.
I'll keep tinkering for fun but love the little guy as is!

How old is your Ghia? Older models were meant for 5751 in v2. Newer models are meant for 12ax7.

Doc does a pretty good job of tube/circuit match-up. He seems to "hear" and know what we are looking for. I usually re-tube with his recommendations.

Mine is brand new. Only had it a little over a month.
Doc personally recommended the speaker for my situation and I really like it.
That said, curiosity about a 12" Blue or Gold in the cab is starting......
