As noted in the Z-Lux/fest thread, the Lux knocked it out of the park at our tent gig on Saturday. Numerous compliments from folks in the crowd, which was nice because I had an off day, playing-wise--not terrible but not one of my best days ever, for sure. Tells you a lot about what people hear when they're listening to live music, and how tone can come to the rescue even when you're struggling a bit. Still sorting through videos, but will post a clip if I can find one that's not too embarrassing.

It helped that the tent was big, and completely open at one end--also, the PA was decent and the sound man was excellent and really knew how to work with the space.

That Les Paul sounds very nice. Is that straight into the lux or have you pedals in the signal path?

Man, Jon!!!! Nice, nice tone, brother....Great, tasteful playing too. Sweet lick on the ending for sure! Thanks, Lee--yeah, I was pretty restrained for the whole gig. Just felt tight--fingers weren't flying like I wanted 'em to. Which, if you can't go big, go tasteful, I guess. Too much caffeine, maybe.

I'm running through a Jetter GS-124, which is a very fat medium gain OD, and a little bit too much delay. I kept the GS-124 on for the whole gig--didn't need the boost at all, mostly controlled volume through touch and occasional tweaks of the guitar volume.

Great tone. Any dirt pedal or was that straight to the amp? Thanks! I was running through a Jetter GS-124. Great medium gain pedal from Brad Jetter; thick and ballsy without being strident. Best all-around OD I've ever owned, and I've owned a LOT of them. It gets along with the Z-Lux extremely well.

Sounds great-singer is no slouch either! Thanks, walt! She's pretty great--this is her first time fronting a band, and only her second gig with us. She's done a lot of choral singing, though, and has a big range, a great ear and tons of power. Sings great harmonies, too. Smart, nice, easygoing, reliable. I figure it's a matter of weeks, if not days, before she gets scooped up by a much better band.

Your band is going to be so good she won't want to leave!!!

Very cool Jon. Where's your plaid shirt? Right? Need a flannel, it being Wisconsin and all. Also a beard and a man-bun.
