damn you Doc, I thought I was happy with my amps. And of course I now must have the most expensive amp in the line! Oh well you only live once. This is the best sounding amp I have ever heard in my life. I'm thinking red with Z wreck cloth! ( unless I can find a used one) Congrats Doc this amp is amazing

The general consensus of the Z-Lux was "WOW!" DB4 wasn't far behind!

It's a great amp. Can do a lot of different voices--throaty and ballsy, silky and smooth, clean or crunch, processed or raw. Great stage amp, super versatile, adapts easily even in hostile sonic environments. Thinking about getting another one as a backup and/or two-amp rig.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ...... Ahhhhhhhh.. ....ahhh.
I like the red and ZWreck too....but really? It just blew everything away? Since I only have a Therapy can I hear what ZLux does differently than that? They both have some American voicing....are they like a blackface and tweed difference? Or what...?

Again I say, (IMHO) "The Z-Lux is Doc's best sounding creation!"

^^^ Yep--of the ones I've played, that's definitely true. And I'm not somebody who instantly loves or connects with every amp I try--not even every Z amp. I like the Z-Lux so much I'm thinking about selling all of my other amps except my little Vintage 15 and replacing them with another, matching Z-Lux, as I said above. The clincher is how great the Lux sounds on stage, and how easily it adapts to different environments. Kills at stage volume, but also works as a clean platform for low volume playing at home.

All I know is the Z-Lux is the best Z amp I have ever owned. It really is that good. It completely blew me away and continues to do so I cant tell you how many compliments It has gotten me on my tone. It sounds so rich and lush. It has a 3D factor that cuts through the mix like nobody's business.

Totally agree. It sounds so big and huge. The clean tone is stellar. I never worry about being heard with the Z-Lux and we play loud.

^^^ Yep--at the tent gig a couple of days ago I got a bunch of compliments on my tone, and the videos bear it out. It's a good thing, too, because I had an off day, playing-wise. Too jazzed up to play well, and no time for a bourbon before the set. Will adjust blood chemistry appropriately next time.

Yup, I've had mine a year now and I love it more all the time. I just can't miss when I take the Z-Lux out for a gig...big venue or small. It just works so well and gets along with so many different guitars and pedals. Best amp I own.
