There was a time not too long ago when I had a closet FULL of speakers. Once I settled on the Remedy, I sold every last one of them but two Creambacks, which I have in my two Z 112 convertible cabs. Now I have the Z-Lux head and the Remedy. I have tried the Z-Lux with the creambacks and it sounds great. BUUUUUUUUUT, everyone here keeps raving about the Z12 and how well it perfectly compliments the Lux. At $89 it is a stupid deal, and I am kidding myself if I think I am not going to buy one.
Before I do, I thought I would ask you guys who have played the ZLux through both speakers what you think the differences are? Which do you prefer and why?

I'll throw my hat in the ring. My Z-Lux combo sounds sweeter and way less fatiguing with the Z12. The Creamback is a nice speaker but it is too middy/trebly for the Z-Lux, and the bottom end sounds tighter with the Z12. With a different amp, yesterday I compared my Therapy with the Z 1x12 I have loaded with a Creamback to the Z12 in my Maz 18NR 1x12 combo. I switched back and forth and the Creamback sounds like it's, I don't know, "busy" or "working hard" in the midrange where the Z12 sounded like it was enjoying the party. The Z12 is a speaker I'm really falling in love with. I really liked the Creamback when I first started using them, and they're a great speaker. I just think the Z12 is better...and I think I'm going to order another one for my Therapy. You'll love the Z12, buy one. I'm almost tempted to say if you don't like it I'll buy it from you!

I'm playing mostly humbuggies right now...335, Les Paul, SG. But also a couple of Les Pauls with P90s. The Z-Lux / Z12 combo LOVES P-90 pickups. It's funny, I played Strats for about 20 years and just a couple of years ago I got into a Big Band with horns, saxes, etc. Around 19 people in the group...and I got a nice 335 which has led me back into humbuckers. My Strats and Tele have been eye candy for a while now.
