... who gets a new amp and then makes a bunch of posts gushing about the thing!
I liked my GAL right from the beginning but it is truly getting even better all the time. When I first got the amp I quickly found the EQ settings that worked for my single coil and humbucker guitars. After that I didn't fool with the knobs much. Lately I've been fooling around with the settings and my tone has gone from really good to OH MY GOD! I'm now using channel 2 90% of the time and working the heck out of my volume and tone knobs on my guitar. Holy moly! I've been a big Z Fan for a long time but I'm finally a complete Z fanatic!
I just need to say what I've heard said here a lot:
If you're new to Dr Z amps and you decide to give one a try, make sure you spend a lot of time with the amp and try all kinds of EQ settings. There are a lot of different tones to be had in there!

I'm guilty. I'm one of those guys. It's just that I don't have a lot people to share with that really get it. My wife and kids are only interested in me turning the amp down. The Galaxie is very SWEET!!! I'm already at OMG. If I turn too many knobs it might just blow my socks off. ;D Just a fellow Z fanatic and a big kid with a new toy.

Brian Well, I've been learning lots about the Galaxie over the past week or so .... and I love it. That said, I think I may need to start bookin' some stadium gigs to unleash the full potential of this amp ;D ;D ;D cheers always, eh Joel

Gotta chime in on this one. The tone controls are amazing. They affect the gain so much it is crazy. I can go from a dirty country vibe to a nasty overdriven Mudhoney type sound without plugging in a single pedal. Of course I just ordered up a RC to give it a extra kick! Loud, Proud and sure glad I have an Airbrake.

+3 My Z 28 is the same way. I think thats the thing with Z amps. The tone controls are their to work. You can dial in some tones. Try the bass & presence full 5:00 clock, treble at 7:00 clock
