So far, I love my Z-Lux. The only thing that I don't like about it is the foot switch: It has no LED"s to tell me when it's on. So, I built a new one today. I had a spare pedal enclosure and the 2 2P2T switches and the LED's lying around. I like the cool broken up font. It works great.

Now I have to figure out how to add a 9v battery and an LED to the variable boost!

That should be pretty easy, mine came with a DPDT switch just waiting to switch on an LED. Only problem is that you will have to remember to shut off the LED when not in use, since there won't be an on/off function by plugging in a cord.

I opened mine up and the switch is a single, but I have a DPDT laying around and an extra battery lead, LED's and a LED bezel. I am not sure if I will mod the variable boost because it seemed to work great as a lead boost on the last gig. I'll have to gig it a couple more times before I know.

I found someone who has a Dual LED pedal for sale-Dwight w B5 Amps. This is how he describes pedal: -powered by internal 9v battery -LEDs biased to dissipate very little power -footswitch designed to ground out the oscillator of the tremolo circuit and reverb signal as well. -it's a standard "shunting" switching scheme -LEDs not connected to amp circuitry, they are isolated and the battery only is used to power them.
this is all 'Chinese' to me and he is not sure if the Z-Lux would support this type of switching scheme. Thoughts? Thank you very much!!
Alternative, is there a Dual LED pedal available from another manufacturer that you know will work with the amp? I have an adapter with a 1/4" jack at one end to plug into the footswitch and the RCA plugs at the other to plug into the Z-Lux.

Yes, that sounds like it will work. It really is just a basic on/off switch with 9volt powered LEDs. I asked Dr. Z about this when I was building mine and he told me "The Reverb cable needs to be shielded as it has a slight signal present. The trem is a direct on/off ground to engage." If the reverb is not shielded it has a TON of noise when it is engaged, but the Tremolo doesn't need the shielding.

Awesome work. I here you on the boost. I would like to have a light on mine as well. I generally leave mine on all the time though so it's not that big of a deal. But sometimes when we play loud I have a hard time telling whether it's on or off depending on how much boost I have set.

That's great! Wish I could find pre-made boost and rev/trem pedals with indicator lights that would work with my Z-Lux.

But sometimes when we play loud I have a hard time telling whether it's on or off depending on how much boost I have set. After gigging with the amp for about 6 shows, I have concluded that I don't need the variable part of the boost. I just run it wide open. So now I use another pedal I built for a different amp. It is a simple on/off switch with a 9v battery and LED. I call it "The Loud Pedal" and with the Z-Lux, it is quite appropriate.

Has anyone thought of making one 3 switch pedal and running Trem, Reverb and Boost from it?

Why not? It would be easy enough, just be sure to run shielded wire for the reverb cable. Signal travels on it, so you'll pick up hum and other unwanted stuff without a shield.

Yes indeed......the order of those switches would be critical for me........Boost at one end, Tremolo at the other, Reverb in the middle............I would NOT want to accidentally engage Tremolo instead of Boost, or vice versa!
