Seems a tad bit quiet here, for a new amp launch. Anyone else loving this one?
A great amp with an SG, or a tele. And the P90's in my Reverend sound just amazing. I've tried different cabs, with tens and twelves. Leaning towards a 2x10 w/Golds for favorite, but every speaker sounded great. And brought something different to the tone.
Half power switch is just as effective (and nice) as the one on the Jaz. And the secret sauce is in the cut control interaction with the different tone selections.
I've been playing mine all week, and it's fast becoming my favorite. Thanks Again Doc, you nailed this one right on the money...

Good point. I think maybe with everything else that's going on, it might not have been the best time to start this thread.

I wonder if the Z-Lux surge is still in full effect... the DB4's pretty cool but the Z-Lux still seems to have everybody's eyes & ears tied up at the moment.

Agreed. In time, I'm sure it will see it's day.

It strikes me that a bunch of the early batches might have gone to folks who are not (much) involved with Z Talk. Besides you and Mike (jaguarguy), who has one? Telejas did, but decided it wasn't for him and moved it along, iirc.
I've been eager to get more reports from our "local" gang and maybe some more sound clips. It sounds like an amp I would definitely enjoy. (And I'm bummed that I can't make Mini Z Fest to try one out.)

I have one, but my playing sucks too bad to make a video! 😂 I was contemplating selling it, but the more I play with it, the more I figured out you can get almost any sound and tone out of it.

Too bad you can't make Z-Fest, Mike! I actually have figured out something interesting about the DB4's tonal palette, and if given the chance I hope to demonstrate how effectively the DB4 (with no pedals, just the Brake Lite) can be used for some distinctly not-Brad-Paisley sounding stuff.

These aren't instant gratification amps. They're lethal studio and live weapons and are fairly complex for only having a half dozen or less knobs. But once you get them dialed in, watch out!

Yes, it is a mean sounding machine

I tried one out. Great thick, voxy sounding amp..... However, I opted for another Z Wreck combo. I'm happy.

Sorry I'll miss that, Mark. Having heard Dave Baker's demo, it's clear that there are lots of tones in there. Your point about BP is a good note. I remember when the Wreck came out there were some who tagged it as "for country music guys with Teles" due to Brad's involvement, but that is only one of many things a Wreck can do.
