I am wondering if they are the same thing. On the Remedy, the EQ bypass gives the perfect amount of boost for solo's. There is no need for a variable foot switch, as the boost isn't too loud...it is just right. In fact, I don't think it provides an actual volume boost, it just seems louder because the eq is being...bypassed. My question is this: If you use the EQ bypass on the ZLux as a dedicated boost for solos, do you really need the variable foot switch? Or do you find that the boost, full on, is too much of a boost and needs to be dialed down? The reason I am asking this, is because I have a foot switch I use for the Remedy EQ boost that has a smaller footprint AND has a 9v powered LED that tells me when it is on/off. I call it "The Loud Pedal" and built it for another amp. I would love to continue using it if I can. The Z-Lux boost seems louder in the studio than the Remedy, but that doesn't mean much. If the Z-Lux does require the variable foot switch, I will just install an LED and 9v option in it.

They will both work. Your "Loud Pedal" will just give you all of the available boost. If that's not too much, you're there. If it is too much, you can either install a pot in your "Loud pedal" or you can put the LED and battery in the Z pedal.

I am just not sure it it is TOO much of a boost. I won't be able to really try it until my first gig with the amp this weekend. I think I will bring both, run both to the amp, but plug my Loud Pedal in and use it first. If it isn't too much, then great. If it is too much of a boost, it will be an quick switch over and we'll go from there.

I found that I need to dial back the boost a bit, so I like the 250K ohm pot...just put it right across the switch contacts and you're gold.
