Ok...call me crazy. I can not stay way from the mighty Z Wreck! This is my 4th and final Z Wreck. Isn't he a pretty little dude??? I've had the original quantum silver set when they were first released. Then a head in "my" colors ( blonde w/brown grill ), then the blue combo. Now I'm back in black! My first new black Z and I love it. Like I said before, the little combo seems to be even more alive than the head & cab versions. It's the drumshell like cabinet I do believe. It lives and breathes. Got a Brake-Lite and installed it in the bottom just like my last Wreck combo. With this amp and my Z-Lux, my bases are covered! I've owned many Z amps and all are/were great, but these two fit my needs best....

Man, that's gorgeous, Mark! What color's your Z-Lux? Thanks guys!~ Jon, this black Z Wreck combo and my original quantum silver Z Wreck set are the only new Z's I've bought that were not Blonde w/Brown grill. So...Z-Lux is Blonde w/Brown grill and beautiful!! This black beauty will look great in the middle straddled by my Z-Lux on one side and a 1-12 cab on the other. Photo of that to come! Tri-wall of tone!!

This amp is un-flippin' believable!!! Amazing, I tell ya! NOTHING sounds like a Z Wreck!! AND...all the Z Wreck clips out there sound great, but you can't get the full effect until you "feel" it....up close and personal. I guess that's true with all amps, but even more with this amp.

Man, and here I was, thinking, I'd be done buying amps for a while... I have been saying the same thing. Next thing I know I have a Maz 8 coming. Then Peter Mather said he could make me a studio extension, so I have that going. i am not sure what happened.

That black with ZWreck grill cloth.....my new favorite maybe....soooo nice. Do you use it with the Brake Lite or just let her rip?

Absolutely I have a black BrakeLite mounted in the back floor board. Normally running at 2 clicks, but also sounds great fully braked at 4 clicks. Love how I can see the BrakeLite setting from the top. Of course the little dude sounds glorious with the Brake bypassed.

I'm thinking that if they are supporting that nice gear that you have then they must be solid. What's the low down, I haven't seen those. BV Sacto

Nice compact rig, my man. What speaker have you got in there? Gold? jj Yes sir! You would love this combo. If I remember correctly, you never did use the 2-12 Blue/Gold Wreck cab much. This combo cab is a little less volume, but way more 3-D. Sound comes from everywhere! Doc designed the lightweight cab to be more resonant. Of all the Z Wreck configurations, I like this one best by a wide margin. I've had the original stack, a head..then the Blue tolex combo and sold it like a dummy. This one is here to stay no matter what I say!

I really wish the Z-Lux had the same cab as my Wreck I love the controls on top and the small grill on top!

Hmmmm. Interesting take on a one 12 rig! I like the less volume part! You are right to say I was not crazy about that Z Gold/Blue cab. But oddly enough, just today (as I suffer over dropping bread on the DB4), I was playing all my Z's and swapping cabinets around and found that I loved the Wreck through that very cabinet today - been so long since I've paired them up - I see now why Doc paired them up that way. I finally see how the combination works so well! The Wreck continues to be my fave amp, and a 1 12 combo is very attractive as a quick grab-n-go rig. Weighs in at about the same as the 2-12 cab in a smaller package! I may have to see about getting one of those down the road! I wonder if Doc could make me a cab to put the chassis in, but I think the chassis is configured differently for the combo. hmmmm.

Regretfully for me, yet very profitable for Dr Z, I have gone through many Z amps....and 3 Z Wrecks to realize.. the Z Wreck is the quintessential Z for me! Yes... I DIG!!!!! I take that back....I had to go through everything I've been through to get to where I'm at today!

I take that back....I had to go through everything I've been through to get to where I'm at today! I'm seriously considering picking one up. It's an awful lot of amp for my purposes, but the demos I've seen tell me that this amp is the bees knees.
