Hey folks. Recently did a little quick and dirty tracking session with some friends of mine to help me book some restaurant/private/event dates. One take each tune, two mics. Thought I'd throw the recordings up, the Maz can really do freaking anything. Speaker is a C Gold, guitar is a G&L Bluesboy Semi-Hollow, occasional overdrive via my trusty AC Booster. There's some light reverb/compression/EQ in post but the recording is pretty true to what I heard in the room. First track is just the demo reel. -= soundcloud.com/dylanwelsh/sets/the-dylan-welsh-trio-promo-demos

Very nice, Dylan. The Maz sounds great! You shouldn't have any trouble booking some gigs with those tracks. Nice playing. I like it!

Interesting. I haven't ever really tried to use my MAZ Jr (which also has a C-Gold) for anything in a Jazz genre because I have a JAZ that usually gets that call. I'm going to have to break out my Gibson Johnny A and see how they mate.

Nice Dylan! I also listened to Cissy Strut - very good arrangement! Thanks for sharing.

Just a little too much volume, and takes up quite a bit of room on stage since I have it as a head/cab. But I love using it when working from home, especially with my ASAT. Haven't run my archtop through it very much, definitely prefer it with the tele. Would love to hear what you think about the Johnny A/Maz combo.

Here's an...interesting...record where I used the Maz with my archtop. Eastman AR371 through my Maz and C Gold cab. Forgot about it until just now. I'm on tracks 2, 3, 4, and 7. Sounds better than I remember...definitely gonna have to revisit this combo now that I hear it again. jgatz.bandcamp.com/releasesThanks for all the kind words y'all.
