I was browsing Reverb this morning and grabbed this Ghia. The rear panel on this one is different than I have seen before having a direct power cord, fuse and just 1 output with no markings. Anybody seen one like this before and maybe have any info?

Early version two Ghia - great sounding amp. What is the serial number on the back? That will tell you when it was made. What color light on front?

I think it's a 1999+/- but can't read the SN in the pics.
Looks like the Jewell is blue.

Cool Ghia, man! (I spotted that one, and might've bid on it if I didn't just get one like it this year already.) Does your serial number say "J.7234"? The J means it was made in 1999, the 7 confirms that (obviously) it's a Carmen Ghia, and it's the 234th one made. You can figure out most Dr. Z serial numbers here: ztalk.proboards.com/post/147924/threadOh, and by the way.. that 1 speaker output is an 8-ohm output (as you probably could've guessed). Enjoy that Ghia! I really, really like my older 1999-model, especially after having a couple newer ones; but for some reason the older one just feels even better to me.

Nice score! Love it when a early build comes around. I own and love a '00 V1 Mazerati. The big brother to your Ghia. It'll be an amp that sticks around for a while. I've owned her going on six years now. If I ever get the itch to try something else a quick session with her and that thought dissipates rapidly. It changed my playing in a good way. I find myself using pedals, especially drive pedals a lot less. The amp feels like it opened up and added a fullness to my sound while keeping a powerful mid range. It's kinda hard to explain. I run mine through a Z Best 212 stock. Go buy a decent set of tubes from a reputable dealer and get it on.
