Hello everyone, I'm new here and to the Carmen Ghia, well relatively. Picked it up in October and have been putting it through the paces since then. I'd been cycling through some speakers as I didn't like the V30, but I've currently settled on a Weber Silver Bell Ceramic 50w. I'm thinking of finding a 1x12 cab (any help from some Canadians looking to offload?) and pairing the Silver Bell with a Blue Dog. I really liked that match in other setups. They compliment each other quite nicely. I've been running it with a Swart Night Light on the 1st degree of attenuation, with the compression switch running. I run this in stereo with a VHT Special 6 1x10 combo. I've thought about upgrading the VHT with a "better" amp, but honestly, with new tubes and a new speaker (WGS G10C), it's hard to beat for a PTP, handwired single ended tube combo for 200 bucks or less. I could upgrade each part and still be ahead of the game. In summary, I love this amp. My first encounter with Z was a band I saw whose guitarist played a Remedy with a Z-Best. I was blown away at how great it sounded. I don't see many Z's (actually almost never) where I am, so when a Route 66 came up for grabs at a great price, I jumped on it. Eventually had to move it along, as it wasn't exactly my flavour and was Z-less for a couple of years until this Ghia popped up locally. Anyway, enough of the ramble. Here's a simple shot of the Matt-o-Caster (can you guess my name? No, it's not "vanity") with the Ghia.

Looks nice. Time to pick out your next Z amp. No one can have just one!

Thanks!
I do hope to pickup a couple of different Z flavours down the road. I'm really happy with my current simple rig, so I'm trying to keep to that for a while, but more are inevitable.
Let the hunting begin!
A cab for the Ghia first. Then the amps will follow in due time.

Cool setup! I run my Ghia though a 2x10 with the Silver ten and Blue pup. I think it sounds great, and I'd imagine that the 12" versions of each would sound great, too. Enjoy!

Welcome to Z Talk.
"Everyone needs a Ghia" is often heard here. So you've got that checked off.
I've had good results with an Eminence Red Fang (10") with my Ghia. It's a very efficient speaker, so it's a pretty loud setup. (I play mostly blues/rock, so the mid focus of the RF works fine.)

Thanks folks!
The Tele was a fun project. Wanted something with a La Cabronita flavour. Swamp ash body from Warmoth. I meant to order a body with one pup route, but somehow managed to order it with two. Had to get the pickguard made as a result. Sure, I could have added the second pickup, but I just wanted a simple 1 pup rocker and didn't want the added expense of 2nd TV Jones. The one in there is a Powertron Plus.
I finished it with a kit from Wudtone and it looks great and ages and wears very gracefully. The neck is an older mighty mite that's spent some time on various Strats over the years. It's birdseye with abalone inlays.
It splits duties with a Hamer Studio Custom.
