Before getting into the details, I want to say that I live in a bad RFI area.
I recently bought a MAZ Jr., but when I turned it on, I was getting an extreme amount of RFI. I could literally hear it in the next room. This occurred with & without an instrument cable plugged in and at almost any volume setting.
I spoke with my dealer and they said that this is a known problem with the reverb tank output cable. However, they noted that Z recommends attaching a ferrite choke from Radio Shack on that cable and RFI will be reduced.
I have to say that I was VERY skeptical, but I tried one and it cut the RFI about 90%. I have two other amps with reverb (Bogner Shiva & Mesa Blue Angel) that also pickup a small amount of RFI, but nothing like the MAZ without the choke installed. I previously had a MAZ Sr. with reverb and it only picked up a small amount of RFI.
I'm writing this post to help anybody else who may be having this problem. The Radio Shack part no. is 273-105 and costs $5.29. Disconnect your tank's output cable from the chassis RCA connector, wrap it THREE times around the open choke and snap the choke closed. Insert the cable back into the female RCA connector. You may be shocked by the results. You'll need to un-screw the plastic cable retainer on the side of the cabinet no get enough length.
I wonder if replacing the cable with a higher quality foil shield cable would help the problem? Any techs out there please chime in.

I had the same problem with the Maz Jr. I bought this past winter. Turned out, the reverb pan had the output and input's ground and insulated jacks reversed from what they should have been. Z sent me a new tank and the problem went away, 100%.
The Radio Shack choke did not work for me, at all. It is a cheap, easy thing to try before replacing the tank though.
Just another reverb issue and solution I thought might help some folks.
