Made a huge mistake and sold my Ray and Z Best back in the fall. But I just corrected that and bought a head and 2-12 cab with celestion blues. Black, not red, but heck it looks very dignified! I am once again happy!. Paired with my SRZ65LE, a fantastic tonal palette!
I learned my lesson: DO NOT sell off a DR Z amp. Period.

I would have to say you have the best of both worlds now!
I'm glad you are still diggin' the SRZ!!!

Good news on the Stang, Gregg! Hey there's a jam in Farmville Saturday at Buffalo Creek Guitars...it's kind of a lower volume thing, but I'll probably go and take my 'Ray. Let me know if you're interested and we'll hook up

Welcome back! It'd take a lot to get me to part with my Ray, but stranger things have happened.

Nawp. Ain't a gonna happen here. I may try a lot of other stuff, and who knows where this road of tone leads to, but the 'ray stays. And that's all I have to say about that.

The only time I sell any Dr. Z amps is when I have three or more of a kind... unless they are red, then I have to keep them for some insane reason. Glad you saw the light. I have an outdoor gig 4/24 and I'm going to use my StangRay!!

We all stray from the center of the road sometime in our life. It isn't the straying that matters, it is the lessons learned that count!
Stang Ray STAYS!!!!
Bill, thanks for the invite. But I'm heading up to PHL for my niece's christining. I'm the godfather (gotta have a heart-to-heart with my brother about his judgement). But please keep me in mind if something else comes up. Ron (from the Fender Forum) wants to come done too. So keep me posted. It would be great to visit. Also, if you decide to go to Z-Fest and drive, maybe we could hook up and share some driving. I'd like to avoid flying (there are many reasons I just retired as an air traffic controller!) but I hate driving by myself.

I almost screwed up and sold my 6545 before coming to my senses, but the Ray has never been anywhere close to the auction block. I can't imagine letting that one go.

'Tis a keeper for sure. I may add other amps, but I will never get rid of the Ray.
