Curious if anyone has tried any different tubes. Ive got a set of unused closely matched Sylvania 6v6s that I wanted to try.

Please post a review if you try them. So far I've only run the stock JJ6V6's in my Z-Lux. Doc mentioned NOS tubes in another thread here: ztalk.proboards.com/thread/68664/bias-on-lux He talks about NOS 6V6 tubes, and he cautions that he runs the plate voltage a bit high in the Z-Lux.

I've not had any luck using anything other than JJ's in my JAZ. That includes NOS or any new production I've tried. I bought two matched octets of JJ's and I keep them in my stash.

I don't believe you will have much luck with NOS 6V6's in a Z Lux. I know I didn't and I tried various sets.
Here is a thought I have plugged in Tung Sol reissue 5881 's in no bias adjust just plug -n-play, and they sounded very nice. A bit cleaner a touch more snap, more let me say Fender like, not for everyone , but did work nice IMHO.

Thanks Doc.. I feel no need to change at this time, but always nice to have options.
