Cool to hear man. What volume settings were you using and how big of a church was it? Were you using a mic, or just playing out into the room?

Our church seats about 500 . I tilt the cab back and use a Senhiser e609 amp mic. The settings to start with were Cut-3,Tone-5,and the Volume at 3.......Then I turned the volume up to 5. Amazing but the sound man loved it and asked if I will be using this amp in the future! I told him of course I would are you kiddin' me. I've always been conservative in bringing a smaller(less wattage)amp to use (Maz18jr w/10's or Carmen Ghia w/z1x12 . The Stang Ray is just a great amp and if they will let me continue to use it I will but I thought It might be to much and instead it just sounded GREAT! like I knew it would.

I almost always go into the low gain input and the volume never goes past number 2 or 3...this with a Keeley comp goosing the amp which is probably equal to vol halfway running dry. It is the sweetest clean, and the BB will give you the dirt you need. With the Strat I've been running both tone and cut at 1:00. With the Tele on bridge, the tone knob goes closer to 3:00. I got a call last night about possibly playing in a P&W band, which is quite enticing, but I've got all I can handle right now trying to hang with hwr57 & Co.! .

I fogot to say I was using the low input, and I always use at least a Keeley compressor. Bill your lastest recordings with the strat sounded awsome!

My soundman loved the Ray too...... GREAT amp!!
At a church in front of 500 people or in a bar in front of 500 people, or in an auditorium in front of 10,000 people...... the Ray is the way to go.
