I play a CG25th with a Dr Z 110 cab and a gold. Love it, but I always stay intrigued by the 112 blue comments and reviews. Anyone have experience with a 2 cab 112 and 110 set up? Would the wattage and sensitivity differences of those speakers make for a weird combo?

I have a Ghia 1x10 combo with a gold. In the past, I've had a 1x12 cabinet loaded with a blue. They're very close in tone. Celestion did a great job with the 10" gold.
The 10" gold is 98db the 12" blue is 100db
With the blue being bigger and higher db, it would be slightly the dominant tone. But since they're so alike in tone, that wouldn't mean anything.
Unless you've got a 1x12 blue (and cabinet) laying around, I wouldn't spend the money.

Thanks John. I went with the gold a few months ago due to your great reviews. Awesome pairing and super portable. But I've always wanted just a touch more of that "loose, spongy break-up" and thought the blue might be that. Expensive sound test, no 112 or blue at the house.

I had the Gold in My 1/10 Ghia as well def preferred it over the Red Fang.

The Blue is a great speaker. I have one in Doc's smaller 1x12 cabinet and it is my favorite speaker. You won't be disappointed. Satisfy your curiosity, you can always sell it, but I bet you won't!
