Ok, so what is comparable to CG but more headroom? Have a maz 18 also, but have gotten spoiled on 2 knobs. Might go for 3. Sorry for naivete, but going on a year of club use with a CG. Have seen BW live and have recordings. Maybe just need to force myself to use 18. Realize a mazerati is extinct.

You can find a Mazerati. Just need to be patient. It's worth it! I have 2x12 combo Rati and it's glorious!

The Route 66 and the KT45 are both 3 knobs. You might like the 66 as it gets a little grittier than the KT 45.

To my untrained ears, I had found (several times) that the modern-production Ghia sounded & felt very similar to the MAZ 18 if the MAZ's cut control was cranked up. That is to say, I could make my MAZ sound just like the Ghia, but not always make the Ghia sound like the MAZ (naturally, since the MAZ can go more places with its wider adjust-ability).
Now, I don't feel that way about the older (year 2000-ish) Ghia's, as (again, to my untrained ears) the older Ghia's seem a bit "softer" and a bit less forward in their attack. I like these ones a lot.
Headroom-wise, though, I think the MAZ and modern Ghia are pretty close--which means that I'd peg the (modern) Ghia's "big brother" as the MAZ 38. Call me crazy, but it's just comparative logic...
