That Stang Ray head I sold is really making the rounds. The guy I sold it to turned around and put it back on eBay the next week, now the guy he sold it to has it up on eBay again. To be fair, the first guy said he was comparing it with his Two Rock, and whatever lost out had to go. Is that a common thing, for people to go through amps like that, or maybe that amp just wasn't one of the better ones? I dunno. It was too trebly and punchy for me, are they all like that? It had a real glassy tone that I liked for soft strumming, but got real punchy when I strummed harder.
I am definitely still loving my Z28, though. I won't be selling that one.

Yeah, it is a very punchy amp. To get to where the power amp starts compressing, you need the volume control up to about 6 or so. That's pretty loud, but that's where the magic happens, so I run an Airbrake so I can get that power amp squish at a bit lower volume. If you ever play one set up like that, you're going to regret selling yours...

I had it in that zone (cranked up and compressing)a few times at practice with my old drummer, it sounded pretty nice. I won't regret selling it, I have some other amps that are very nice, too.
