Since coming to the Z camp, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with Eminence products. I loved the 2x10's in my Maz 38 combo and the Z 12" speaker sure is special, too. With that, I'd like to pick up a few to experiment with. I like a well-rounded speaker, prefer a nice tight bottom end and moderate to aggressive mids and highs. I'm not a big fan of flubby bottoms and piercing highs commonplace with most Celestions.
Since I liked the Z 10's, the folks at Eminence recommended I check out the GB128. After thumbing through their website and clicking on sound clips, I'm thinking about picking up a combo/trio of either the GB128, the CV75, the Legend 1258, the Legend V128 and the Governor. I really like the clips of that CV75, but I'm worried it may not perform as advertised in an open back combo.
The 12" Z is living in my Maz, so these speakers will be auditioned in the Monza, for future consideration and use with a Therapy. So let me hear it, which Eminence speakers are you using and what do you like most about them???

I would be interested as well given most of the models listed are British style speakers. I know there is some love on the forum here for the Governor, and it would be interesting if there were any thoughts on the CV-75 since Eminence claims it was developed over a long period of time and meant to sound liked a well broken in Vintage 30 Celestion.

The shootout video on the forum of the CV75 against a Celestion and Hempopotamus is pretty good, but looking at its specs, it seems like it was designed for a closed back cab (even though Eminence says it suits either). The Governor seems like it has a little too much mid in it for my tastes. The more I listen to clips, the more I'm leaning towards the 1258 or the V128. I think I'm going to pick one of those and the CV75 just for the hell of it. The prices are so darn reasonable.
