Tarentino's politics aside, the movie sucked. Way drawn out, they don't even give you anytime to wonder who did it, they just tell you. I was hoping for a good western, then I remembered who wrote and directed the movie. Glad I didn't pay for it.

I read some bad reviews on it but was going to give it the benefit of the doubt. I heard its real long too.

I found it a bit slow in the beginning and a little long overall, but it kept my interest and I thought the acting was pretty good. I'd say I enjoyed it overall.

Gave it a 2nd watch, it's not as bad as I initially felt. I think it's a bit "wordy" and drawn out.

just watched it last night and i'd give it a 3 out of 5. Visually, well done. I have to agree with Lefty ... it's wordy and a bit hmmm.... Didactic. Not Tarantino's best but better than most other films coming out of hollywood.

I thought it was good. I saw it on 70 mm film as it was intended. I don't quite understand the first couple posts. Did you steal the movie and watch it on your computer from some crappy internet feed? Not sure if you are in a great place to criticize a movie under these circumstances. Not my favorite Tarintino film, but still good.

I just watched this last weekend and thought it was visually stunning, but otherwise somewhat lackluster. It's ok, but certainly not my favorite Tarantino film. Does anyone think this really compares with Pulp Fiction or Inglorious Bastards?!

Inglorious Bastards is my favorite with Kill Bill a close second. Rest are somewhere behind these two. I probably watched Pulp Fiction 100 times during my high school years and maybe burned out on it.

Not going to see it because of the excessive violence...
to that beautiful, irreplaceable Martin.
A man's got to have standards, after all.

I'm with you, Lefty. I was bored as hell during the first half, but stuck with it because friends said the second half was better. I have since unfriended them.
The best part of that movie was when Samuel L Jackson delivered the line, "bushwhackin' sack shooter".

I liked it actually. It's a long film,to be sure. But at the end of the movie, it didn't bother me. I kinda liked how he let the story play out. The night would have been long, and the characters wouldn't have had a scene or two to figure one another out, yknow? The visuals were incredible. I often find that Tarrintino films take a few sittings to be fully appreciated, and even then, stand up to re-watchings. I was kinda meh about Kill Bill when I first saw it,but giving it another watch I fell for it entirely!! Jackie Brown is criminally underrated too.

Viewed this movie again and it gets my WOW rating. Wonderfully crafted characters, story line, and again, Jennifer Jason Leigh just grabs your attention and doesn’t let go.

Had to revisit this thread as I keep watching this film every once in awhile and catch more of what's going on. The way it's filmed and the dialog is absolutely Tarantino.
Again, the star of this film was Jennifer Jason Leigh. She was simply fantastic and kept me laughing the entire time she was onscreen.
