Hey man, don't worry....... I didn't take it serious and I hope my reply didn't sound like it . It takes A LOT more than that to offend me. Heck, my old bass player would always ask me "Can you make it sound less like a Buzz Saw", or "What ever happened to your Deluxe and Tubescreamer"? Then when the got a new guitar player, he played with a more scooped out tone and he called me up one day and asked me if I could talk to the new guy about his tone. Currently the other guitar player in my new band blows me away in playing ability, but he has the nastiest live tone of anyone I've ever heard. It sounds good on his recordings, but live it hurts your ears and gets burried in the mix at the same time..... Maybe he needs a Dr. Z (or a Boogie)... Scooped out city. Some day the Stangray will be mine ;D

I'm sure that's what it is. Just try a normal delay pedal or something where you can't recover volume and you'll see a noticeable drop. Experimenting yesterday I noticed a rather significant signal loss using verb and delay in the loop. Re wired the pedal board all in front of the amp and yeeeeeeeeeeesss that's the ticket. I thought perhaps it could be attributed to inferior cables but after reading these posts perhaps not. Verb is a new Boss RV 5 and Boss Digital Delay DD 6....definately sound better in front not in loop. Didn't seem to have this problem with the Mz 38. Now I'll have to go back to the Maz and see how it sounds with all the pedals in front.....

There's anew Tech 21 reverb pedal coming out that looks like it can boost to make up the volume drop.

The other thing you can do is put something in the loop to make up the difference. I'm using an H&K Rotosphere for this purpose, but it doesn't hurt that the Rotosphere is also a world class Leslie simulator.

What about something like a POD or other amp simulator?? I use a V-Amp2 for delay on my AC30, it's got a master volume?
