Maybe I'm a little late on this one but..... I just bought a Timmy because the wait on Zendrives is killing me. I found a store in LA that had Timmy's in stock so I said "what the hell" I was GASsing for a new toy. This pedal kicks freakin arse. It doesn't have any of those annoying mids that most TS clones have, and some of the best singing tones I have ever heard. My Strat has the sustain of a Les Paul!!! Do yourself a favor and buy one. I will try and post some clips but my weak home studio won't do it any justice. I picked it up at www.revolutionguitar.com if anyone is interested in getting one. These things have a 4 month wait if you order direct from Paul. That's all for now. Back to tweaking. ;D Sam

Now we are going to have to A/B the two pedals and write up some kind of report for everybody .... but remember .... in the pedal shootout in GP a while back the big statement on the Zendrive was that it was smoother than any other pedal they had reviewed.

I feel ya. I've been using a Tim with my Stingray and it just sounds incredible. Try it in combination with a RM clone if you can. Thick!

I know there's a wait but isn't the Timmy only about $120 from the maker? If so they are charging $100 over list.

Hey Billyguitar
I have no Idea. All I had heard was great things about the Timmy, and I knew there was something like a 4 month wait.

I was going from the prices I've seen listed on Harmony Central. In reality $100 isn't much money. Resale on those pedals seems to be in the $200 range so that's safe. I've paid more than that for other pedals that probably aren't as good so in that way it's justified. I just don't like the thing about paying more to a dealer than the builder. It's like the 'market adjustment' on fad cars, it just galls me.

His Tim's are going for $250 plus on ebay too. I've read some threads where Paul is pretty irritated of people jacking the prices, but he builds them out of his garage and just can't keep up with the demand.

But the Timmy is totally sick with a Nick Greer Sonic Boom. The RM effects the 'Ray completely different from the Tim(Timmy). It makes the amp even MORE harmonically complex and gives it a distinct vintage feel. I'm sure the Greer is awesome too. So many great pedals out there...
