At this stage of the game one can only hope! Don't much care for the way all this seems to be unfolding...... and the idea of being the 3rd owner in a short period of time. Especially when I was told I would be the 2nd owner of a 2 week old amp. I have no reason at this point to doubt what I was told by Chuck before buying this amp, based on his rep on other forums, but it's becoming fast apparent some piece of this puzzle is missing here. If not, then (((someone))) was lied to, because Chuck told me straight up he bought it NEW from Stu.
Doc, any suggestions/comments? The serial # is Q - 22017 ... Thanks, Cam

OK fellers, no one was actually mislead but there was a missing piece of the puzzle!
There is only one 112 Stingray of which I decided I will technically be the 3rd owner of. The original guy ordered it from Stu and sent him the Fane to be installed. Didn't like it once he got it and returned it to Stu for credit. Stu installed the Blue. Stu sold it again as new since it was returned within store policy time frame. I know most stores have this type of policy I personally don't have a problem with it... I'm just glad to know the whole story beforehand.
Just want you all to know I didn't just assume the worst of a situation, though the way the world is today who could blame me. There obviously was something not quite right and I have the right to know what that something is. I don't have a problem with anything about this whole deal now... other than I wish it had the Celestion Gold instead of the Blue.... not sure of the reasoning there! It may not even be an issue as I don't play arena's etc anyway, main thing is at least I know the whole scoop.
It definitely sounds like a 2fer! ;D Thanks for all your input!!

I think we're all (know I am) guilty of being fickle to some degree. The original owner wrote a stellar report with all 10's in H-C, before he sold it. At some point it went from being a "killer" amp to being sent back to Stu? Chuck wrote elsewhere it sounded great, but didn't feel it stood up to his '62 Vox...and don't forget he buys and sells LOT's o' amps! As for your blue, I was thinking...since I've had this amp, it's never been gigged volume past noon...SO, in all probability the 15w blue would work for me fine.

Yea but what if you're playing it at 12:00, the gig is going well, there's some hot chicks or other guitar players, you kick on a boost or o/d pedal and guess what? Your speaker is a crispy critter!

I was just reading over on the Gear Page (It's back up!) that the Celestion Alnico Gold should be available in July, and guys who played it at the LA amp show thought it sounded great! Seems like a pretty good candidate for this setup if you ask me.

Yea but what if ... there's some hot chicks ... you kick on a boost ... Whenever I'm warned of hot chicks being at my gig, the TONKER goes in the cab! ;D
