Does anyone have any thought about running the Z-Drive at 12 volts rather than 9? Is this a bad thing?
Thanks for the input.

That's a good question. I have asked that question to other pedal builders in the past and the responses I received were either "Yes", or "No". "No" because the pedal was designed to sound at it's optimum at 9 volts, or "Yes", because the components could take it - but it may not sound the way it was designed. If the response to the Z pedal is "Yes", the components can handle it, then I would just leave it up to your ears during a blind taste test!

I asked Doc this exact question when he debuted 'em at MI Z-Fest recently, and he said no, just use 9 V. Also, Earthquaker Devices' writeup on their Tone Job, an EQ pedal that seems to have inspired the Z-Drive, also only says 9 V, with no mention of anything higher. PS.
