My dad does the live stuff with Shemika...this is her new album over on NPR First Listen. She's a real sweet lady, and only in her thirties...kinda the voice of Women in blues right now. My old Pop is taking out the late brother big Paul's old Harvey pine cab MAZ18 as they will be hanging with Robert Cray's team and get to use the semi he has instead of back lines every night. She's been really reaching for a message the last couple of albums and of course women being used and abused is becoming something she's singing about. She got IT

Wow that's impressive! She's well known around these parts. Arthur is a NYC guy and does regular stuff in between gigs. Shemika is a Shy Town Gal. Her hubby plays bass with Buddy Guy. She treats us like family...

Coincidentley I heard the song Drivin out of Nashville this morning-down left of the dial,If you want to hear some new music in NYC,it's gotta be over there-FMU,FUV,FDU.So back to the song-liked it,wrote down the performer and tune to check out-and her new album IS GREAT.
