all you need to hear is the last chord! But as far as playing-I think he could make a schecter into a line 6 bedroom amp sound good.

Ha!!! On the bridge pickup yet. Baker really does know his way around a fretboard.

Answer to the thread: "Hating the CG w/ my teles" ^^^^ 'nuff said. Not quite the same setup as I am having trouble with, he is using an RC booster and an unknown cab/speaker selection. I am using a TS9 and a Vintage 30 right now. I also love the amp with my strats as it is currently setup. Every time I change it to make it Tele friendly I lose what I like with the strats. I guess you are saying the solution to my problem is to play like the guy in the video? ETA: That last chord he hits has a hint of the treble-ice-pick I am talking about in my other post.

Tele's normally have a bridge pickup with a metal base plate into which the threaded metal screws that attach it to the metal bridge plate go. The pickup is almost completely surrounded and connected by metal...it's what gives the Tele so much more treble than a Strat and that signature ringing tone that Tele's do. Attenuating that treble with either the amp, the tone controls, or some sort of outboard eq...the Boss 7-band pedal comes to mind as a quick fix...when switching to the Tele, is probably a thing to consider.
