Thanks, I will try that. Chris The only other quick thing I can think of is if you swap in a new tube to see if that's the issue

Make sure the cables are plugged into the correct sockets too. If they are reversed the reverb won't work. They're color coded.

Thanks, the cables for the foot switch are in the correct position. Tomorrow I will check at the pan and the reverb tube. The other thing is when I tilt the amp forward to check the FS cable the amp starts humming, when I put back down flat the hum goes away. No fun.

take the amp, turn it upside down, set it gently on the floor, wait 30 seconds, then turn it upright, plug it in a play... well, it worked on my old maz 38 combo,,, when the internal installed fan wouldnt come on, i would do this and voila! the fan came on,,,!, just kiddng, it was just a short,,, but i remember my Z history fondly. sometimes these lil components hiccup,,,, would not want a reverb problem with any other manufacturer,,,,

Can't rule out that the tank wasn't damaged in shipping. Perhaps you can give the Z shop a call...I'm sure they'll make it right.

Did the reverb not work out of the box? If so I would re-connect the RCA cables from the reverb tank to the chassis. They are polarized so just re plug them one at a time as not to swap there position.
If you shake the head with reverb control turned up do you hear the thunder from the tank?

Thank you all. I took the back off this morning. All looked ok, plugs were in the pan then I started poking around and found a wire hidden behind another bunch of wires. I pulled it out of the bunch and it had a RCA plug on it. It was the return wire to the chassis. I found where it went replugged it and now I am a happy guy. It sounds fantastic!! Thanks for all your help. Chris
