Hi guys I currently play the ghia with a 2x10 cab and was thinking of getting the z wreck head! First thing am I gonna struggle dealing with the volume difference and second will the 2x10 z cab do it justice? I normally use the braklite on 1or 2clicks and set the volume at 9 so it leaves me enough volume for a boost for solos! The ghia has been the best amp I've owned and I'm still very happy with it just fancy a change! Lol

2x10 is a great speaker configuration for guitar. Doc's 2x10 will go with any amp in the lineup.
And I don't have a Wreck but it is going to be WAY louder than a Ghia. The Ghia is Doc's best gigging amp IMHO. Except for maybe the Z28. A lot of people migrate from the Ghia to the Z28 to get a little more volume and clean headroom.

Yeah I have looked at the z28 and the m12 but I'm favouring the cathode biased amps! The m12 looks great because I like to use pedals and just use the amp as a platform sound, but not sure if it's gonna be loud enough? The only concern I have is the volume on the wreck but I do use the braklite so hopefully that should be enough?

Anyone have any good feedback on using a Z Wreck with doc's 2x10 with the Z Speakers? Maybe with 10" Celestion Golds?

Doc made a Z-wreck 1x12 combo. I prefer the 2x10 configuration over 1x12 (and I was a 12" man for upwards of 40 years), so the 2x10 will certainly sound great. It stands up well with my RT66. You'll just have to decide if it's your sound or not, but I'm betting you'll dig it.

Slight thread resurrection .... not that I have any immediate plans ...... however, I am still curious about the combination of a Z-Wreck thru one of Doc's older 210 cabs loaded with Z 10s along-side(or on-top of) one of Doc's older 112 cabs w V30.
Any thoughts/input much appreciated.
cheers always,
Joel

DC here!
I have the 2x10" cab removable backplate with my Rout66 - sounds excellent. When I get my Z-Wreck in August I can test what it sound like with my 2x10" cab - lols

While I've never played a Z-Wreck or the older Z-Cabinets, I can tell you I have paired the Antidote with the 2x10 convertible ( Z-10's) and a 1x12 convertible (creamback) with glorious results. You get the quick attack & crispness of the tens with the looser airy body and depth of the 12.
