I accidentally left my pedalboard at home for tonights gig. The Zlux more than made up for it. Dialed in a bit more reverb than usual and used the boost switch for solos. I still missed my compressor and echo but it sounded great none the less.
The boost switch sounds great when engaged but is a bit too loud. I just worked the volume knob on the guitar to help sit in the mix.
20 watts setting master at 3 volume at 2. Great rock, country and blues tones all at once!

Dang that's great. Sometimes it's nice to not have to mess with pedals eh?

I took mine to Church last night and intentionally left my pedals at home. It was all I needed.

Sat in with my friends band last Saturday night, Z-Lux, telecaster and nothing else. Basically played it clean and used the boost for my overdrive. Just adjusted the volume knob on the guitar. One of 4 guitarists for some great jamming Allman Brothers style and I got nothing but compliments and the amp stood out above the rest. I may never use pedals again. I basically only used to use an overdrive pedal to get grit but with this amp I don't need anything.

That says alot about a amp when you can plug straight in no effects and get that great tone you know you got a good amp! Just set it and forget it and ride it out on your guitar volume an tone controls. Old school all the way!
