What a great amp. I've had about 5 gigs so far and it excells in every setting, outdoors, small club, big club.
There is a certain sparkle and breakup that the amp has that really works for me. It's kind of hard to explain. With a fender deluxe, when you get into that slightly overdriven breakup, it sounds great for chords but gets a little flabby for articulate single note playing (the ones I have played). The Zlux maintains the tightness but still has that breakup around the notes.
I've played it side by side with the JAZ and while really similar sounding on recordings, to me, they feel much different. The Zlux feels looser.
Additionally, its very easy to dial in a great tone. In the 20 watt mode, Master and Vol at 12, mid at 10, bass and treb at 12, it sounds fantastic with a Tele.
I've said this before, but I think I'm done looking for my desert island amp.

This amp is all sweet spot. I have played my #21 for 20 venues and it Kills in all of them.

It seemed to have more bloom, sort of like the notes got off the fingerboard with less effort, than the JAZ. JAZ still sounds great, though.
