Hi Folks, Thinking of getting a Carmen Ghia and wondered how well it would work with the small Dr Z 2x10 convertible cab?

Yes.
I've thought about the same thing myself, either a Z 2x10 or having something built that would work with my Rati v2 or Ghia Anni.

I love the sound of my Ghia through the 2x10 convertible, so I'm sure you would like it.

Howdy,
I believe that Dr.Z's cabs incorporate "lens" technology into their construction, enabling a 10-inch speaker to sound more like a 12-inch speaker. The 2x10 Dr.Z cab was my first choice for my Ghia head several years ago, but since Humbucker had run out of them, I opted for the 1x12. I think you'll dig the 2x10 cab with a Ghia head!

I 2nd the len's tech Z 2x10 cab style. I dearly miss my z-28 combo, huge sounding compared to any 1x12 combo or cab. That's one combo I would have kept if I hadn't had to bury my daughter. you won't regret it. VG

The older 'small-box' 210 with stock Z speakers is really quite nice with the Carmen Ghia ... imhoI've used that combination in the past with Strats and Teles - straight in, Volume @ 12:00 and Tone @ 12:00 .... lotsa fun Only thing I like better is to run a mini-stack using smallbox Z-112 atop the smallbox Z-210 cheers always, Joel

Thanks for all the input guys. Sadly, I missed out on the head I was hoping for! So... back to the drawing board
