Wow. This tube sounds fantastic in v1. I expected the results to be a little more subtle but... My tele bridge kills with this, and has lost the "icepickiness" that i've had with all of the different 12ax7s ive tried in the Maz. I can run the cut and treble pretty much wide open now to no ill effect. The top end has a really pleasant compression that i've been missing since i replaced a Zwreck with the Maz. I dedcided to try a 5751 because i'd been having a hard time getting a clean enough tone for my country band with the 12ax7. This tube is perfect for it! Nice and clean most of the way up to slight breakup. Interestingly, i prefer the 12ax7 fof middle and neck tones, but i spend so much time on the bridge position it seems like the best bet for me. Haven't tried it with the band yet, but the last few shows we played i'd been pretty dissapointed with the 12ax7. I think my definition of "clean" must be changing for the cleaner, LOL. Anyhow, this tube seems perfect for any Maz players who have a hard time with too much high end or not enough cleans. This has all been stated many times before in this forum, and you know what, they were right!

I know my taste for tele tone has arrived at a much cleaner less hot tone for bridge pickup...did try the 5751...but I also dialed the nocasters waaayy down...the 12ax7 remains...
If your band resepcts thing like volume,dynamic's...kool.It might be yo tube.

I'm lucky enough to play with some great players. We're female fronted. pretty low volume, and everyone in the band does a great job of staying in the pocket and bumping it up for a lead when their time comes. I am extremely greatful to be in this position. I have to ammend my first post to say that i switched out my el84's at the same time as the 12ax7, and i know the old pair were pretty beat. I believe the headroom i was lacking was due more to this, and maybe ecacerbated by the warm weather we've had lately, which always seems to bring on a little more tube breakup. But that said, i'm still really enjoying the top end response with the 5751. Who knows though, i use the high input on the Maz, maybe using the lo input with the 12ax7 would achieve the samw thing.

I use a 5751 in V1 and V2 and the Lo Input most of the time. Love them.

Another fan of the 5751 and the low input here. I only have a couple of amps that I prefer a 12ax7 in V1 and\or V2.
